Gabriel was raised in a Tyranian monastery, never knowing his true parents. He began training alongside the monks as soon as he could walk, and it didn’t take long before they started noticing some differences between him and the other students. It was discovered that he could feel nature in a way none of them could… He had heightened senses and could predict the weather based on a change in the breeze, recognize the animals nearby based on the seemingly inconceivable vibrations in the ground, and he was able to solve every mental challenge with which they were presented with ease.There was a time a man came to visit from another kingdom, speaking a different language, and Gabriel followed up with one of the monks after the visit asking about the conversation. The monk was confused as to how the boy understood what they were saying despite having never heard the language in his life. It wasn’t until another strange visitor brought a similar experience that they realized the nature of the boy’s abilities.He had received the gift of interpretation, as prophesied by his father. This included the ability to interpret the movements and cries of nature, the wisdom to elucidate nearly every dream and riddle, and the blessing of the tongue of babel which allowed him to understand and speak every earthly language encountered, including that of the three divine beasts.As Gabriel later found out, his father was the great prophet Manoah, known around the continent for his wisdom and prophecies as well as his involvement in building up the kingdom now known as Tyrana.Upon learning the truth of his heritage around the age of 14, Gabriel dedicated his life to studying the origin of these abilities as well as the living oddities hiding in and around the continent. As he blossomed into adulthood, he left the monastery, choosing to inhabit the divine caves of the Tyranian mountains instead. Here, he established his home, building it to be a solitary abode, a quiet palace of knowledge and discovery.The location of the caves was lost among humanity, and only Gabriel was permitted to enter by the divine beasts dwelling within. These beasts supported his ambitions and led him in adventurous voyages across the continent to collect any and all information he deemed necessary, regardless of the consequences that came with it.The more he discovered, however, the more he understood the dark future that would inevitably plague the continent. Decades turned into centuries as Gabriel lost himself to his studies, feeling as though he could not fulfill his purpose until he had learned each and every secret held by Mother Nature.It was that desperate ambition that led him to embark on an impossible quest; one, he believed, would grant him access to the hidden secrets he could not reach on his own. He traveled beyond the confines of his own world, but an un-fortuitous turn of events left him stranded in a realm not his own; one he never even knew existed. Gabriel was trapped in the modern world, barred from returning to his homeland until he found the key for which he had come.

Present Day

Many decades have passed since Gabriel entered the modern world, and he has since built a life investigating the supernatural, hoping to one day discover the paranormal gateway back to his homeland. The majority of his time is spent adventuring in uninhabited spans of land and sea, living in caves and foraging for food, as he records information about every paranormal entity he encounters, hoping to discover something that will ultimately lead him to that which he seeks.Perhaps it is what will both solve his puzzle and bring him home… but without any leads or clues, Gabriel has been shooting into the dark for decades, having no idea what- or who- he’s looking for. All he knows is that he must find it before it’s too late.
